PAPERS AND SESSIONS OF THE CONGRESS

The official languages of the Congress are: French, English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish and all Native American Languages.
The Congress, organized by Centro Studi Americanistici "Circolo Amerindiano", will be held in Perugia (Italy), from the 2nd till the 6th of May 2007.
The organization has the faculty to extend of one or more days ahead of the established dates.
Further sessions, in addition to those marked (see the sessions list), can be suggested to the Organizational staff not later than December 31st, 2006. It is the Congress Scientific Committee that accepts the insertion of new session in the program.
Each scheduled panel will be of a number of 3 to 6 papers.
Each paper must be inedited and must be presented by each participant personally.
Each panelist can present only one paper.
The maximum time allowed for each paper is of 20 minutes, unless told otherwise by the organization.
All travel, board and lodging expenses are at participant's expense.


REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE TO THE CONGRESS

The attendance to the Congress is free. Registration is required, however, in order to read a paper or to receive the certificate of assistance or the Proceedings.
The deadline for registration to the Congress as panelists is January 31st, 2007.
In order to participate as a panelist to the Congress, people must fill Registration form which they will find in this site from the 10th of January 2007 together with the definitive list of the proposed sessions. The form will be valid only if it is complete of all the required data, with an abstract of minimum 400 and maximum 800 characters and a curriculum vitae as attachments. The form will be sent at the same time to the coordinator of the panel where the paper will be presented and to the organizational staff of the Congress. If the coordinator thinks necessary he/she can ask for further documentation.

The registration to the Congress is not automatic, but subordinated to the coordinator's acceptance. Between the 1st and 8th February 2007 coordinator have to communicate whoever has sent a paper proposal if it was accepted or not.
When accepted the panelist must proceed to the payment of the registration fee 7 days since the acceptance, that is before February 15th 2007, in order to be inserted in the program. Please communicate to the organizational staff of the Congress (info@amerindiano.org ) the deposit information.

The registration fee for panelists is of EUR 100.00. Panelists who were members of the Centro Studi Americanistici "Circolo Amerindiano" for the year 2006 will have a 50% discount, i.e. EUR 50.00.
If more than one panelist presents a paper each one has to pay the complete registration fee.
The registration fee to the Congress for non-panelists is of EUR 10.00 in order to receive the certificate of assistance and EUR 50.00 to receive as well the Proceedings.
The membership fee for the Centro Studi Americanistici "Circolo Amerindiano" for 2007 is of EUR 50.00 and gives the right to receive ns. 22 and 23 of Thule. Rivista italiana di studi americanistici and a copy of the Proceedings of the XXIX Congress.

Inscription fees should be paid, by direct deposit, to the account entitled to Centro Studi Americanistici "Circolo Amerindiano", Bank Unicredit Banca, Perugia Cacciatori delle Alpi Agency:

N.B. After the publication of the programme, in case of impossibility to participate to the Congress, it will not be possible to withdraw the registration as a panelist, and therefore, the relative registration fee will not be refunded.

PROCEEDINGS

The Centro Studi Americanistici "Circolo Amerindiano" guarantees the publication on the Proceedings at those who have presented their paper personally during the works of the Congress, after the approval of the paper by the session's coordinator.
Papers submitted for publication that do not fulfill the typographical guidelines for the Proceedings which will be provided by the Editorial Staff will be excluded. Papers should be sent to the panel coordinators by June 30th, 2007.
The Proceedings will be free to participants, to registered members of the public, and to members of the Centro Studi Americanistici "Circolo Amerindiano" for the year 2007.


PROGRAMME

The final programme of the Congress, completed with scheduled times for panels, will be available in the site http://www.amerindiano.org on April 1st, 2007.
